Halle E allows for many different ways of utilisation, as the number of seating rows, the size of the stage and the dimensions of the free space are all variable; hence a great variety of different events can be organised here.
Halle G is excellently suited for music, theatre and dance productions as well as for presentations and concerts.
Halle E+G in the MuseumsQuartier is the exclusive venue in the center of Vienna. In addition to the events of Wiener Festwochen, Tanzquartier Wien and the young Viennese music theater scene, numerous international productions from the fields of music, theater and dance are presented.
The architecturally highly sophisticated ambience is used by numerous companies to hold galas, congresses or presentations.
The former imperial court stables served for many years as a trade fair and exhibition area. In 1985, the Wiener Festwochen used the former Messepalast for cultural purposes for the first time. From 1985 to 1997, the trade fair halls developed into important performance venues for the Wiener Festwochen. With the conversion of the Messepalast into the MuseumsQuartier, Halle E was created from the neo-baroque Winterreithalle, which is a listed building, and the smaller Halle G below it.
