Halle E allows for many different ways of utilisation, as the number of seating rows, the size of the stage and the dimensions of the free space are all variable; hence a great variety of different events can be organised here.
Halle E+G at MuseumsQuartier are the exclusive event location at the heart of Vienna. In addition to events of Wiener Festwochen, Tanzquartier Wien and the young music theatre scene of the Austrian capital, numerous international productions in the fields of music, theatre and dance are staged here.
This architecturally highly appealing setting is used by many enterprises to organise gala evenings, conventions or presentations.
For many years, the former imperial stables served as a trade fair and exhibition venue. In 1985, Wiener Festwochen decided for the first time to use the former trade fair centre as a venue for cultural events. From 1985 to 1997, the trade fair halls evolved into important performance venues of Wiener Festwochen. With the transformation of the trade fair centre into MuseumsQuartier Vienna, the neo-Baroque winter riding arena - a listed historical building - was converted into Halle E and, directly below, into the smaller Halle G.
