Halls E+G are main venues for the Wiener Festwochen. The numerous theatre highlights presented here include 'Mudan Ting' (a Chinese opera in six parts), Peter Brook's 'The Tragedie of Hamlet' and 'Le Costum', Frank Castorf's 'Die Erniedrigten und die Beleidigten', 'Der Meister und Margarita', and 'Forever Young', Steve Reich's 'Three Tales', the Cirkus Cirkör's and Dramaten's 'Romeo & Julia', Patrice Chéreau's 'Phèdre', Christoph Marthaler's 'Die schöne Müllerin', and Martin Crimp's 'Cruel & Tender'. Besides events of the Wiener Festwochen programme, Hall E also accommodates the annual festival 'Out of Control' as part of the music theatre festival NetZZeit.
